Winter Dash

I'm cold. I spent weeks outdoors miles from civilization, weeks in the cold. I'm hungry, I'm tired, I'm freezing, but I'm a fighter. I will carry on until I find some pony, someone, something... But first, I need to stop it. I need to stop the nightmare that lies in the belly of the earth. When I slay the creature, if I slay the creature, the deaths of my friends will not be in vain. 
I'm cold. The frost lays on my exposed fur and I could feel how the bitter chill freezes through my bloodstream. Even with this coat, I still feel as if I am walking bare hoof through this blizzard. I don't mind really. It reminds me of the past. It reminds me when Pegasi from Cloudsdale always pushed the winter clouds south when spring was around the corner. I always moved the clouds wearing nothing while the others wore the pegasi weather control uniform. Yeah, the ice made my wings grow heavy, but I was still the fastest when it came to clearing the sky. But the winter season in Ponyvillie is nothing compared to this storm. No amount of weather control uniforms for winter wrap-up can save me at this point. They couldn't even save my wings.  I think the frostbite made them useless at this point. I can't feel them. I can't fly anymore. I'll have to get them removed if I return. They are safely tucked under my coat for now. I don't really care at this point...
Infact, I gave up almost everything at this point. My career as a Wonderbolt, my dignity and pride, my wings, but something I would never give up was my loyalty. I promised them I would finish the job. I promised Fluttershy. My best friend. Sometimes I stop and wonder...

It's cold. The ax and shield in my hooves are even colder. They are heavy and some would say its wise to abandon them. But they were a gift... The ax belonged to Applejack, whenever she had to cut down an old or dying apple tree on her farm. It wasn't always this epic looking. It used to be simple and blunt, but Rarity used her magic to give it a makeover. She did one heck of a good job. I knew if Flutters heard me say that, she would have a fit, but this shield would defend me from her. Cheers to Pinkie for giving it to me as her final death wish. This shield has a flabby backstory to it, cause old Pinkamena would never own something like this. It used to be a simple wooden shield from when she babysat the Cake Twins and they would have a fit with their dinner. Pinkie told me it would protect me. She was right. Twilight changed the old wooden slab to a shield that would make Shining Armor jealous and even gave an enchantment on each item. Only I could wield both the ax and shield at once. This ax and shield could vanquish any demon from Tarturus. That meant only I could defeat this monster.
I'm cold. But this pain in my heart made my soul even colder. I would fight for every life lost these last few months. The snow flies across my magenta eyes making the world a white blur. I shout into the cave presented before me. I shouted the monster to show itself. There was a sudden silence as if the wind and snow finally decided to die down by the monster's will. Out of all the colors I expected the monster to have, I didn't expect the cave to reveal crystal blue ones. Red is cliche and green was my best bet, but the blue look almost beautiful. They were like gems but made of ice. But it's heart was far colder.
I'm cold, It's cold, the monster within us all is cold. This war between my thirst for vengeance and the insane creature who took my friends away is cold. But I can and will be 20% Colder... and cooler...
